graphic designerAuthor's Bio - Jeremy Tuber

Jeremy runs Can-Do Graphics LLC, a 4-person firm that provides the consulting and creation of all of the marketing, advertising and design collateral for businesses who are looking to take their company to "the next level of success". The business started in 1999 as a sole proprietorship; however it's grown into small but profitable marketing and design powerhouse - consistently earning 6 figures of revenue yearly.

Being a business savvy designer is often a contradiction in terms, however, Jeremy is a unique combination of savvy business marketer and creative designer, this one-two punch provides clients with targeted marketing and design projects that yield outstanding results and a terrific return on their investment. A self taught, self-motivated designer, Jeremy worked his way out of the corporate world in the late 1990’s to pursue his true passion in design; studying and the learning the profession from the bottom up. Jeremy started at a local Kinkos store and moving from design position to design position over the course of a few years – each one a bit more rewarding than the last, he’s had the good fortune of working in many design environments with well over a hundred different artists.

This unique career track and perspective of being creative and business savvy, along with extensive practical experience in the corporate world has given him an exceptional advantage in understanding first hand the marketing/design challenges and needs that business owners have.

His in-depth, customer-centric approach to design involves intently listening to what clients want, digging deep to learn what makes them (and their customers) truly unique, and then infusing his own creativity and expertise to create targeted projects that consistently make, rather than cost his clients' money. Jeremy's clients know there are hundreds of other inexpensive design options out there, but they are not going to find a more proactive, energetic, business savvy designer that's focus on results and revenue rather than just creating interesting art to look at. His clients invest more in him because they know they'll get an outstanding return on their investment - unlike other designers, hiring Jeremy will help company's make money, not cost them money.

Jeremy's the only marketing/design consultant that offers a 100% no risk, personal guarantee that his clients will love the design, service, enthusiasm and the value he brings to their project - or they don't have to pay him. His clients located in over 5 different states across the U.S. include from industries in: athletics, business service professionals, accountants, lawyers, professional athletes, entertainment, realtors, fitness trainers, restaurants, churches, non-profit organizations, insurance, mortgage brokers, information technology, telecommunications, and blue-color service contractors.

His passion for helping others avoid the significant mistakes and oversights he made when first starting his freelancing company lead him to write Being a Starving Artist Sucks (which some call the bible of graphic design success, 500 pgs) this book extensively covers the areas that freelancers (even the talented ones) struggle with the most: pricing, negotiating, contracts, finding business, and customer service.

His next book entitled, Verbal Judo for Designers was written to specifically help creative freelancers master the art of verbal self defense against difficult clients. Jeremy has also created a Work Smarter NOT Harder Contract Package, in which he's condensed all of his client communication and contracts and packaged them up to be used by other freelancers. All of his books and packages are easy to use, proven resources geared towards helping new or struggling creative freelancers run a more profitable, more enjoyable business in the shortest time possible. In late 2007 he added a 1 on 1 coaching/mentoring component to the product mix and will offer seminars and teleseminars in 2008. Jeremy donates a fixed percentage of the proceeds from the sale of these products to charitable organizations like the American Cancer Society and Wounded Warrior Project.
